Everything on your Cosmic Hub, explained. What a chart actually is, what the symbols mean, and how your daily readings get made. Five minutes and none of it will be mysterious again.
01 · THE FOUNDATION
What a birth chart is.
A photograph of the sky at the minute you were born, taken from the exact spot you were born in. Ten planets, each frozen at a precise degree of the zodiac. It never changes. Everything we do starts here.
Computed, not looked up
Your planet positions come from Swiss Ephemeris, the same planetary engine professional astrologers and observatories rely on, calculated to a fraction of a degree.
Why birth time matters
The Moon moves about 13 degrees a day and your Rising sign changes every two hours. Two people born the same day, hours apart, get genuinely different charts.
Two charts, one map
For compatibility we lay your chart over theirs and measure every angle between your planets and theirs. Astrologers call this synastry. It is the skeleton of your report.
02 · THE CAST
The ten planets.
Each planet is a department of you. Where it sat when you were born colors how that department runs.
sun
your core identity, the thing you are here to become
moon
your inner world, what you need to feel safe
mercury
how you think, talk, and make sense of things
venus
your charm, how you love, what you value
mars
your drive, your appetite, how you fight
jupiter
where you expand, get lucky, and overdo it
saturn
where you meet limits, do the work, and grow up
uranus
where you break the rules and need to be free
neptune
your imagination, your blur, where you dissolve
pluto
your depths, your obsessions, where you transform
03 · THE STYLES
The twelve signs.
A sign is not who you are. It is the STYLE a planet takes on while it sits there. Your Venus in Gemini loves differently than a Venus in Scorpio, in exactly these flavors.
Aries
fast, direct, first out of the gate, bored by slow
Taurus
steady, sensual, patient until it digs in and will not move
Gemini
quick, curious, two minds at once, allergic to dull
Cancer
tender, protective, remembers everything, guards the soft parts
Leo
warm, generous, needs to be seen, runs on real attention
Virgo
precise, useful, fixes what others ignore, hard on itself
Libra
fair, charming, wants harmony, weighs both sides forever
Scorpio
intense, private, all in or not at all, reads the room cold
Sagittarius
restless, honest, needs room to roam and a bigger meaning
Capricorn
ambitious, disciplined, plays the long game, earns its rest
Aquarius
independent, inventive, loyal to the idea, cool on the surface
Pisces
dreamy, porous, feels it all, blurs where it ends and you begin
04 · THE ARENAS
The twelve houses.
If planets are the cast and signs are their style, houses are the rooms where the scenes happen. We cut them with the Placidus system, from your exact birth time and place.
1
You. The face you lead with.
Identity, body, first impressions, the way you walk into a room.
2
What you own and what you are worth.
Money, possessions, values, self worth, the things that ground you.
3
How you think and talk.
Communication, siblings, the near world, the daily back and forth.
4
Home and where you come from.
Roots, family, the private self, what home means to you.
5
Play. Romance. Creativity.
Romance, fun, self expression, children, the generative part of life.
6
Work, health, and routine.
Daily work, habits, health, service, the craft of getting it done.
7
The other person.
Partnership, marriage, close one on ones, who you choose to mirror.
8
Depth, sex, and what you share.
Intimacy, shared resources, power, death and rebirth, the taboo.
9
The bigger picture.
Travel, belief, higher learning, meaning, the search for the truth.
10
Your work in the world.
Career, reputation, ambition, the public self, what you are known for.
11
Friends and the future.
Community, friendship, hopes, the networks you belong to.
12
The hidden and the undone.
The unconscious, solitude, surrender, what runs quietly underneath.
05 · THE CONVERSATIONS
The five aspects.
An aspect is the angle between two planets. Certain angles make planets talk to each other. This is where charts stop being lists and start being stories.
Conjunction
Fused. Two energies stand on the same spot.
Sextile
An open door. Easy if you walk through it.
Square
Friction. The grit that builds the pearl.
Trine
Easy flow. Two planets in harmony.
Opposition
A tug of war that wants balance.
06 · THE CALENDAR
The marks on your sky calendar.
Your Sky tab maps the next two months. Every mark is a real, dated astronomical event. Tap any day to read what it means for you and the person you are tracking.
New moon
The sky's monthly reset. A quiet start; plant the thing now, harvest it in two weeks.
Full moon
The monthly culmination. Whatever has been building surfaces and asks to be named.
Eclipse
A supercharged new or full moon. The fast-forward button on a chapter that was ending anyway.
Retrograde
A planet appears to move backwards for weeks. Its themes slow down, glitch, and resurface old business. Mercury gets the fame; every planet does it.
Station
The day a planet stops to turn retrograde or direct. The turning points of the whole cycle; feelings run loudest here.
Ingress
A planet enters a new sign. Same energy, new assignment. You feel it as a change of topic.
Cazimi
A planet sits at the exact heart of the Sun for a few hours. A tiny window of unusual clarity in that planet's domain.
High tension day
A day where the measured sky leans hard on your two charts specifically. Read it before you text.
07 · THE METHOD
How your daily reading gets made.
This is the part that separates a reading from a horoscope column. Every morning, four steps, computed for your exact pair.
1 · TODAY'S SKY, MEASURED
We compute where every planet actually is today, to the degree, with the same ephemeris used for your birth chart. Not sun sign columns. The real sky.
2 · CHECKED AGAINST BOTH CHARTS
Today's planets are compared against every planet in YOUR chart and every planet in THEIRS. A transit that touches your Moon and misses theirs reads differently, and we know which is which.
3 · WEIGHED BY RARITY
A tension score from 0 to 10 that respects how the sky really works: fast planets make near-exact angles almost daily, so they count as texture. Slow planets sit near an angle for weeks and hit exact for only a day or two. Those are the days that matter, and those are the days your score spikes. When nothing real is happening, we say so instead of inventing drama.
4 · WRITTEN FOR YOU TWO
The reading is composed from your two charts, today's measured transits, and the specific pattern from your compatibility report. Same sky, different couple, different reading. Yesterday's is gone by design: readings expire unless you save them.
08 · FOR THE FLUENT
The fine print, if you speak astrology.
Ephemeris
Swiss Ephemeris positions, ecliptic longitude, transits sampled at 12:00 UT.
Houses
Placidus cusps from exact birth coordinates. Unknown birth times fall back gracefully and we tell you.
Aspects and orbs
The five Ptolemaic aspects. 8° orbs on conjunctions and oppositions, 6° on squares, trines, sextiles. Daily scoring tightens orbs sharply for slow movers so a season-long transit peaks on its exact days.
Synastry
Full cross-chart aspect grid, both directions, ranked by tightness. The report reads the pattern, not one aspect in isolation.
Weighting
Transiting planet speed, aspect intensity, and how personal the natal point is. Outer planet hits on angles and luminaries lead; generational contacts do not carry a day.
Moon and sky events
Live lunar phase and sign, cazimis at arcminute precision, stations found by bisection, eclipse windows, ingresses. All on your calendar.
Now go see what today's sky is doing to your people.
